Be sure to check how your pages will look in the google search results with this handy tool.
Having a good page title is valuable as it provides Google with the relevance of what is going to be on your page. When someone types a search term into the search engine, the result of relevant pages will be returned and shown in a bold font.
As a rule of thumb the actual description will be cut off after 160 characters.
Width of characters play a huge part in the title, be sure to minimize use of capital letters unless absolutely necessary. The reason for this is that the display within the search results is limited to a certain number of pixels. Obviously capital letters take up way more pixels width wise than that of lowercase letters. Search terms will show up in bold font, again increasing the pixel width.
